Very good pub! The plates are generously filled and the meal is delicious! The glasses are large and well-filled. The staff is polite and attentive. I highly recommend it to French people who appreciate good food, as well as to everyone else!

Lovely little place, I stayed with a friend in the twin room. Lovely owner, lovely little set up. Feeling very wholesome and had a brilliant nights sleep!

Me and my family had a Sunday roast. It was the 1st time under the new ownership, Gary. The food was lovely, but we could have done it with a little more. Good quality and value for money

Much better food than before in my opinion. Friendly staff and management. Would 100% recommend going here but may be worth a.call 1st to make sure they have the space etc etc. Well done to the new owner/owners. Dog friendly. Country side sort of viewing. Everyones happy and friendly. ❤ ✌ 🌎

Fantastic little country pub. Well managed by all staff members. Food outstanding homemade pizzas on the menu are fantastic burgers and outstanding roast dinners and some delicious homemade pies. Staff have a fantastic knowledge. And nothing is ever too much.

The vegan nut roast was actually decent, all veg cooked perfectly, the Yorkie was excellent, staff really friendly, great atmosphere, cosy chairs. Very pleasantly surprised!! ☺️👍

I ordered via deliveroo a few items and when they arrived I was not impressed. The chicken burger was raw. See images. I called the pub and I'm sure a 10 year old answered it and when I explained the chicken was raw I got a response ... yeah? It went silent for about 15 seconds and I then had to say so what are you going to do about it? Can I speak to your manager at least? The manager apologised and then said they will cook another one for me so it will be about 15minutes. I waited 30 minutes and had to call again and once again the young girl answered. I explain what I was calling about and i was waiting for my burger to which her response was its here. The manager then grabbed the phone and said she will deliver it personally. Guess what... I waited 30 minutes and they have not delivered it. I live 2 minutes away... literally. Awful service. Extremely disappointing food.

The best lunch time pub meal I have had in a very long time. Steak pie was delicious, the steak was succulent and the gravy rich. The mash potato was fluffy and light and the veg cooked to perfection. The pudding was to die for, real heavy cream and ice cream with a gorgeous toffee sauce. Service was good and made us feel most welcome. All this because we got lost and found it by accident. Booked this Sunday for a roast as well. Would highly recommend.

The Red Lion is a Truly Great Freehouse Pub with a warm and cozy pub atmosphere! Had a great dinner with the whole family. I enjoyed the steak, the kids had mac & cheese and burgers and my wife took advantage of the Vegetarian menu - everyone happy! Service was prompt and friendly and our table server was so kind & helpful deciding what to order. Really great experience and meal - Highly Recommend.
